Where to go Truffle Hunting in Manjimup and the South West, Western Australia
The quintessential Australian truffle hunting experience is in the heart of Australian truffle country, The Shire of Manjimup. We’re the epicentre of truffle cultivation in the Southern Hemisphere and the region is dotted with orchards of oak and hazelnut trees, under which the truffles grow.
Truffle hunting is one of the most unique food and travel experiences in Australia. The anticipation is high as visitors follow the truffle dogs out amongst the oak and hazelnut trees, nosing out perfectly ripe truffles. Seeing visitor faces light up as they have a go at unearthing their first truffle is an experience that never gets old. Freshly dug, the smell is intoxicating. It’s a buzz to get to share that experience with visitors to our family property.
